We played the Hawk course and were all satisfied with the array of holes, terrain, and challenges. Nicely upkept. Shop has nice display of discs and accessories. Family friendly and great for experts and beginners alike.
Rivals any PGA ball golf course for design and fun. Bring your game/discs and they will entertain you.
absolutely a gem of a disc golf mecca! my girlfriend and myself played all 4 courses in one day while visiting Maine from Colorado. I feel like I'll absolutely have to travel back to play it again... and I'll be extremely excited when I do!
I don't have anything like this near my home in PA and I'm super jealous. First, let's start with what's important. Four disc golf courses on one property. I played the Hawk today and it was great. If this were my home course I'd be a happy guy. First amenities -- Nice tees, benches on every hole, plenty of signage, toilets and it is literally the cleanest course I ever saw. As far as the golf itself, there are a lot of shots that need just the right touch. Everything on this course expects at least one touch shot to make your par. There's a pretty creek that flows along most of the front 9. They have a number of really pretty greens. Some real short holes and some bombs. Just about has it all. I played the more competitive par and it was a challenge. There was even more elevation than the other course I have played in this area so far. The pro shop is the icing on top of the cake. It's amazing. I was like a kid in a candy store. If you're local know that this isn't normal. This is an amazing luxury to have.
Got a free $50 gift card from these guys for being on the mailing list. Great place for discs and gear, give em a look! Thanks to everyone there!!!
An absolute must play for Maine/ New England disc golf!
Great disc golf location. 3 well manicured courses on site, a loaded pro shop, and knowledgeable staff
One of the better disc golf courses in the state. The pro shop is stocked and updated frequently and the staff are helpful and knowledgeable. The courses are great - mostly wooded but each course varies in difficulty. For the advanced player there are some long narrow holes with some truly tough lines to follow through the fairway.
Fantastic course! First time I have seen the overlapped courses so well executed. My teenage son played Eagle while my brother and his kids, both under 8 years old, played Falcon. For most of the day, we teed off together, but we would play to different baskets. Fun and creative way to let players of different skill levels enjoy a day together.
Really amazing course. I love all of the layouts and I got my first ace the other day here on hawk. Love the goats at the end too. Nice way to end the round
Always impressed with the course maintenance and pro shop selection. Having three courses to choose from is an added bonus!
An absolute must play for Maine/New England disc golf.
Wow, what a great place to get disc's online. The selection is great and customer service is top notch. I have messaged many times, and the responses are always answered in a quick fashion. I follow on Instagram and they always update on the new products that become available. Prices and shipping are right there and reasonable. Picking my color and weight while fast shipping, is why I come back.
Sabattus disc golf course is awesome, always improving. The best course in the country.
Used to come 4 times a week for a few summers when I lived in Maine about 10 years ago. Always enjoyed it here; well-groomed course, staff is good, owner even waves when he’s out. Came back a few days recently and it’s still as great as I remember. Love the pro shop and the selection. This is truly the best place in the state for disc golf.
Sets the Bar. Whenever I'm in town for shows I make a special trip to Sabattus Disc Golf for a few rounds. The courses are beautiful. The Owl is the perfect warm-up course and a great option to get kids and new players engaged in the sport. The Hawk has a nice mix of woods and big, open fairways. The Falcon is my personal favorite. It's tight and technical and perfect for a quick, challenging game. The Eagle takes that to a whole other level with longer holes, bigger fairways, and a few open holes for big hyzers. The pro shop is fully stocked with whatever plastic you throw. They have a large selection of carts, bags, baskets, apparel, and a variety of gear you need to enjoy a day on the course. The greens fees are very reasonable. You get what you pay for and at Sabattus, you're definitely getting your money's worth. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, open, and welcoming. If you are new to the sport and want to give it a try, talk to them. They will help you out, make suggestions, and will start you off the right way with the right gear. Because the equipment is so inexpensive overall, and people often start with more disc than they can handle, it's common to buy discs you don't need and can't throw correctly when you start off. The crew here will help to prevent that. Based on my experience and the conversations I've witnessed, they will set you on the right path and give you an indicator on when to buy the next speed disc. Overall, this is one of my favorite courses. It's really one of the gems of the New England disc golf scene. If you're local, give it a try. If you're from out of state, make the trip.
One of the nicest disc golf places I have played at. Sabattus disc golf has it all! They have courses for beginners and kids and they have courses for professionals. I have been playing for about 10 years very casually but I have been to most of the disc golf spots in Maine and this is my go to. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The pro shop is hands down the nicest around and the course upkeep is unmatched. I would recommend this course to anybody with any skill level. It's very family friendly and it's an amazing place to go with your friends. It's amazing to play but its just as nice to tag along with friends and go for a beautiful walk through the woods and fields that are always perfectly cleaned up.
I've gone to a few disc golf places but nothing compares to Sabattus. We go weekly (when theres no snow) rather it is just my husband and I, our usual group of friends that goes with us or we bring our daughter. It is fun no matter what! Our daughter loves the owl, I love the Hawk, my husband loves them all and they have a pro course too for people like my husband that want some pro practice!!! Their inventory is endless too!
Treehouse_tom wrote: What a day! First time at @sabattusdiscgolf and I was completely blown away. No surprise these are some of the highest-rated courses in the world. Hawk is the longest most beautiful “easy” course I’ve played and Falcon was equally gorgeous and more challenging. Totally in love with this place. Going to see about having my bones laid to rest somewhere on the property. Possibly as early as this weekend.
Just started playing last month and Sabattus is where I learned. Great layout and challenging holes. Very fun spread and the staff is super friendly and helpful.
Staff is always friendly and ready to help with any questions you have about the sport. Their course is easily one of the best if the the best course in the state. The amount of maintenance that they put into the course you are just wowed by the beauty of it. With an all day pass of around 12 dollars, you can't beat that!
Played The Hawk and Falcon today! Great courses! Plan on playing Eagle next time!
Definitely 5 stars. Great courses and well kept! This place also has a shop, with quick snacks and disc golf needs. Huge!
I got the disc today. Thank you so much for making sure I got the disc I wanted, you really went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. You’ve got my business, for sure.
I just wanted to say THANK YOU for maintaining your course so well. After getting a really bad case of poison ivy last year, I'm really paranoid of anything with 3 leaves. I take this app around and identify every single thing. Well, I haven;t found any yet ar sabattus (and I throw in the woods plenty, ha)! Another course has it growing ON the trunk of basket 1 (and EVERYWHERE). Thanks for your course being a good place to relax and play!!
Very well maintained coarse. Amazing pro shop. Decided to buy a zuka cart while looking around and the very nice man behind the counter let me play for free. Will be going back whenever possible.
Sabattus Disc Golf is one of the places that our granddaughter HAS to visit every day that she is here during her summer visits from Tennessee. She (we) absolutely love the place! As one other reviewer said, it Is immaculate; the owner works tirelessly to make constant improvements and additions; the courses are fun, family friendly, some are more challenging than others, always meticulously groomed and the perfect exercise for young and old. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The pro shop is inviting, well stocked with everything you need for a wonderful outing on the courses, neat as a pin and features some fun gifts for your favorite disc golf players. We love the setting, playing through babbling brooks, beautiful trees, well marked pathways and lush meadowland. While we are still novices in the sport, we are able to appreciate that disc golf is great fun for every level of skill. There is absolutely no reason not to try your hand at this super fun game - especially at this exceptional location. I doubt there is any better place to play than Sabattus Disc Golf.....and don't forget to pat the goats; they're friendly and do a super job mowing the lawn!
Great course, friendly goats along the way, and a great pro shop with lots to choose from.
