Disclaimer:
The illustrated disc flight line is based on the manufacturer
field testing results, during its development process. So,
to level the playing field we chose to put a different spin on
things for such visual illustrations. Sticking to the manufacturer's test results will offer you a good baseline for how that
particular disc will fly.
Product Description
The Axiom Fission Special Edition Scarab Hex is a gorgeous, straight flying disc. It's one of those rare discs that doesn't want to turn or fade, but stay straight from 100-250 feet. The stamp features a scarab with an eyeball on its back and wings outstretched. The planets align over the Axiom Discs logo which is in a pyramid.
The flight path of the Hex is very straight and also high glide. Once you start throwing it further than 250-275 feet you'll notice that there starts to be more turn. The glide of the Hex makes it easy for beginning players to get distance with, but advanced players will find lets them manipulate this midrange for great shot shaping. It's perfect for the woods when you want a slow disc to hold a hyzer shot the whole way but can't throw it forward far. The Hex becomes that jack of all trades disc on anything under 300 feet.
Fission plastic from Axiom Discs is a special blend that can be lightweight due to bubbles in the plastic. Fission does retain plenty of durability though. It's a little firmer than Neutron for hand feel, but it flies pretty similarly so expect this to be similar in flight to an Axiom Hex Glow with a hair less fade.
The Scarab Fission Hex is a wonderful special edition disc. It's a beginner friendly mid range, advanced players love it, and the stamp is wicked cool. Snag one of these and get out on your local course today!
