The illustrated disc flight line is based on the manufacturer
field testing results, during its development process. So,
to level the playing field we chose to put a different spin on
things for such visual illustrations. Sticking to the manufacturer's test results will offer you a good baseline for how that
particular disc will fly.
The Innova Star Charger is a high speed disc golf distance driver that's designed for long S curve flights. This disc has a domey top and feels like a bomber in your hand. Dave Dunipace calls it a hybrid between the Destroyer (for stable finish) and the Shryke (for maximum distance and turn).
The flight path of the Charger is early high speed turn, lots of glide, and a long slow hyzer finish. If you're getting over on flippy high speed discs but not muscling up to wicked overstable discs this is a great middle ground. As a 13 speed it really is designed for folks who are regularly hitting 350 feet. You can throw it flat and fast and get a very long flight out of this disc, some folks may choose to hyzer flip it as it beats in. The Charger handles the torque of forehands, but you may have to dip the outer wing to get your desired flight path.
Star plastic from Innova is one of the favorites of world champions, touring pros, and folks who play on your local course. It's a premium blend of plastic that lasts a long time and has great grip. It's also pretty affordable considering discs in this plastic can last for years.
The Innova Star Charger was approved in 2022 and it's going to make your high speed stable glidey dreams come true. Get one of these and start throwing longer shots without worrying that you're going to flip your drive.
